• "VISA" is the official registration certificate to permit non-Vietnamese to stay in Vietnam by the Vietnamese government
• Japanese are allowed to stay in Vietnam within 14 days without VISA possession.
• Japanese requires to hold VISA with staying more than 15 days in Vietnam (See below for the type of visa)
• VISA will be issued within one day after applying to the Vietnamese embassy or consulate with required documents

Type of VISA is also classified into two types

• Multi VISA: Valid terms are one, three, and six month without any limitation of entrance to Vietnam.
• Single VISA: Valid terms are one and three month with the limitation of one entrance to Vietnam.

• Vietnamese Law regulates that the foreigners has to possess the "work permit" to work in Vietnam. The valid term of the permit depends on the condition of work.
• The administration process for the possession of work permit requires at least approximately one month. The necessary application term will be changed depending on the condition of applicants.
• It is strongly recommend to prepare for the required documents in Japan before your departure into Vietnam. Issuing some documents require you to visit directly office in Japan.

• Health Report
• I.D. Photo (3x4 with white-back-color)----4 pieces
• ( Residence certificate will be required when someone has already stayed in Vietnam over a certain period )

"2. Certificate of graduation" needs to be issued from your graduated school.
"3. Health Report" needs to include HIV. inspection. We strongly recommend to have health inspection in Vietnam for the work permit purpose, in stead of having it in Japan.
"4. I.D. Photo" can be prepared in Vietnam but better posses in Japan
"5. Criminal Record" can be issued by the Police Department in your prefecture and the application period needs about one month for its possession.
Representation application can not be accepted and postal mailing service can't be used for receiving.

Remarks

The "work permit" does not imply you can work freely in Vietnam. The permit only allow you to work with the organization or institution under the name of application. Two Work Permits are required when you work with two institutions or organizations in Vietnam.

You may possess "Temporary Residence Card" besides the work permit. This card allow you to stay and to enter in Vietnam without limitation until the valid date is expired. However, this card does not allow you to work in Vietnam.
